Welcome It has been 13 years since i first brought the Belly Dance into Korea after learning Belly Dance for the first time in my life from traveling around The Arabs & North America for many years. It was very challenging to introduce and popularize it in Korea as it was totally new to Korean. However, as i am the first Korean belly- dancer, i took the all the responsibility with all the best and efforts i could possibly make. Our Belly dance finally stands right in the middle as one of the popular culture. Belly dance expresses maternal affection, insemination, delivery and pains as well as happiness from bringing a new life into the world. In addition to that, Belly dance is a style of dance involving lots of graceful movements with hip and abdominal muscles to express our emotion and mental stability. Moreover, it is not only the leading genre of well- being culture but also esoteric art. Belly Dance Association has held many annual competitions for all the belly dancers to participate to prove their skills & abilities and to popularize the traditional Belly dance as well as Korean style belly dance. For the result, we have won in the BDUC which is well known for 18 years long history in Belly Dance. Now, We have proven ourselves as world belly dancers by obtaining 10 awards in the competition. Belly dance is no longer belonged to one country and it is now dance for everybody in the world. With this First Seoul World Belly dance Competition, we promise to develop this into powerful and traditional competition in near future.
